Birjiwan always was a beauty lover and intuitively experienced nature and her body as her portals to consciousness. This natural connection felt ‘lost’ to her for a period of time, while navigating a series of heavy events as a teenager and young adult. Curious, optimistic and thirsty for a meaningful existence she started to practice and study kundalini yoga in 2010 from the early age of 22, during the time she was living in Paris and working in the fashion industry.

With life and relationships as her great teachers, she is fascinated by the abundance of women’s teachings and wisdom from different lineages and began gathering knowledge and cultivating embodiment for her own healing and growth. As she dedicated herself, her life naturally changed. Unlearning layers of conditioning, the many original facets of the woman inside started revealing. This process is indeed ever unfolding and refining.

Birjiwan has a passion for sharing what she learns with other women and guides them on the path of wholeness, self knowledge, conscious sexuality and feminine empowerment. Her experiences have enabled Birjiwan to become a highly adept trauma-informed kundalini practitioner. While honoring the traditional lineage of kundalini yoga, she crafts her sessions with a fluid approach, feminine in essence, to bring her audience back into their bodies. Her particular gift of voice transmits a soothing sound current, and guides people into those spaces that create stillness, where resistance can be alchemized, where they are able go through any discomfort that arises rather than around and surrender to the subtle energy moving within.

She thoughtfully designs her classes based around what we may be going through collectively, be it world or astrological events, to be processed together as a collective in her weekly live online membership classes. These gatherings create a sacred space of safety and unity of community, an online oasis of connection. Birjiwan facilitates in-person spaces in retreats, weekly kundalini yoga at Ra Ma in Palma as well as taoist and tantric arts for women, and has been a full time teacher since she moved to Mallorca, in 2017.

Also certified as a sound healer, she is the singer and leader of the band Sunniai, which has generated over 15 million streams since it launched in 2020. In her music she explores the ability of sound to be integrative and healing. She is originally from France and usually teaches in English and Spanish, but if you insist a bit she might agree to speak French to you, too.
